Carlo Cavaleri (ConfCommercio Gela): «Situazione allarmante»
Riceviamo e pubblichiamo questo contributo sugli episodi di furto con scasso. Il testo riflette l’opinione personale dell’autore.
Otto episodi di furto con scasso registrati nell’arco di un mese rappresentano un segnale grave e non più tollerabile, che impone un’immediata e decisa risposta da parte delle istituzioni preposte alla sicurezza pubblica.
Il presidente di Confcommercio Gela, Carlo Cavaleri, pur nella piena consapevolezza delle difficoltà operative e della carenza di organico delle forze dell’ordine impegnate quotidianamente nel presidio del territorio, esprime ferma preoccupazione per l’escalation criminale in atto e manifesta concreta vicinanza agli operatori economici colpiti.
«Gli episodi verificatisi ai danni di attività in varie parti della città – sottolinea il Presidente di Confcommercio Gela Cavaleri – delineano un quadro allarmante, aggravato dal fatto che due delle ultime irruzioni si sono consumate nella medesima notte. Neppure i recenti interventi repressivi e gli arresti effettuati sono stati sufficienti ad arginare il fenomeno».
Tale situazione non incide soltanto sul piano della sicurezza, ma compromette gravemente la tenuta economica e il clima di fiducia dell’intero tessuto imprenditoriale locale.
Alla luce di quanto accaduto, Confcommercio Gela sollecita un immediato rafforzamento delle misure di controllo e prevenzione sul territorio, nonché l’adozione di azioni straordinarie e coordinate volte a contrastare con efficacia il fenomeno.
La gravità della situazione sarà oggetto di un incontro urgente già richiesto dalla Delegazione Confcommercio di Gela con il Prefetto di Caltanissetta Licia Messina, al fine di individuare soluzioni operative concrete e tempestive.
«Nei prossimi giorni incontreremo il Prefetto – dichiara Carlo Cavaleri – e quella sarà l’occasione per esprimere tutte le nostre preoccupazioni alla più alta rappresentanza dello Stato nel territorio. Siamo certi che le azioni che il Prefetto vorrà mettere in atto saranno finalizzate a garantire la serenità degli imprenditori e a tutelare l’incolumità dei cittadini. Gela vuole abbandonare il ruolo di città insicura, ma deve essere supportata in questo faticoso percorso verso la legalità dalle autorità, ognuno con le sue competenze».
Con il Prefetto la Delegazione Confcommercio di Gela vuole parlare anche di futuro e di sviluppo:
«Sappiamo quanto sensibile sia il Prefetto Messina e quanta importanza attribuisca alla concertazione e alla condivisione – ribadisce Cavaleri – Ognuno dovrà fare la sua parte. Noi imprenditori siamo pronti a fare la nostra, ma ci aspettiamo che tutti contribuiscano fattivamente a migliorare il territorio, senza abbandonarsi alla tentazione della repressione indiscriminata ma trovando con le associazioni di categoria strade condivise e strategie finalizzate allo sviluppo economico della Città. Gela – conclude Carlo Cavaleri – deve riconvertire il suo tessuto economico che non è più legato al polo industriale ma che vuole puntare con forza e determinazione sulle sue bellezze naturali, storiche e archeologiche. È questa la sfida che dobbiamo vincere: trasformare Gela in un polo turistico attrattivo e ben strutturato».
